Tinubu leaves Abuja to begin annual leave in Europe

President Bola Tinubu will depart Abuja today, September 4, to commence a working vacation in Europe, as part of his 2025 annual leave.

This was disclosed via a statement by the Presidential spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga.

According to the statement, “The vacation will last 10 working days.”

It further stated: “President Tinubu will spend the period between France and the UK and then return to the country.”

Prior to his latest foreign trip, the President had travelled to the United States, France, the United Kingdom, China, South Africa, Germany, and Tanzania.

Recall that in January, President Tinubu visited Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, to attend the Africa Heads of State Energy Summit.

In May, he attended the inauguration of Pope Leo XIV in Rome, Italy. His ceremonial trip to Rome was followed by a visit to Saint Lucia for a state visit aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s ties with Caribbean nations.

In July, the President travelled to Brazil for a state visit to enhance cooperation in trade and agriculture.

Before his trip to Japan, where he attended the Ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development in Yokohama in August, President Tinubu had visited Ghana for the inauguration of President John Dramani Mahama.
